How to take the right photos (this directly affects your results)
Headshot
- • Face the camera straight on — no angles
- • Natural daylight strongly preferred — step outside or near a window
- • Plain or simple background
- • Full face visible, no sunglasses or hats
Full-Body Photo
- • Stand 6–8 feet from the camera
- • Full body visible from head to feet
- • Stand straight, arms at sides
- • Fitted clothing — baggy clothes obscure your frame
Lighting matters for your colour analysis. Warm indoor lighting (yellow bulbs, restaurant light, ring lights) makes skin appear warmer than it actually is and will skew your seasonal palette result. Natural daylight — outdoors or next to a window — gives the most accurate reading of your true skin undertone.
Mirror selfies work fine. Avoid gym selfies with poor lighting or extreme angles.
